Boots Roberts

Boots Roberts, 91, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 18, 2017. She was born on February 25, 1926 in Montpelier, ID, to Carl Gustuf and Lillian Ethel Grunig Anderson. She graduated from Ogden High School and two years at Weber Business College.
She married Henry “Hank” Roberts on February 22, 1959 in Las Vegas, NV. Henry passed away on December 17, 2012.
Boots was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She previously served as Presidents of the Ogden Credit Women’s Association and Ogden Business Women. Also, she held the office of President of Ben Lomond Golf Course and Tournament Chairman of Ben Lomond Women’s Association for many years. She loved Ben Lomond Golf Course and the good years she had working with Randy Essley, for over 40 years and knowing his family, and Jeff Clifton. Boots said, “These pros taught me a lot.”
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and embroidering. She was an active golfer and bowler.
Boots is survived by her son, Bill (Tana) Miller; daughters, Terry (Ralph) Edwards and Tammie (Tom) Icatar; 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Joyce Rankin. She was preceded in death by her husband, granddaughter, Dana; father and mother, brother, three sisters, and daughter-in-law, Kathy Miller.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
Boots would like to offer a special thanks to Dr. Bruce Burtenshaw for all he did, also his loyal nurses Mary and Susan.
