Boyce L. Call Sr. (Roy)
On February 11, 2018 surrounded by family our loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, left our world to join his son Bobby in the next journey. Boyce L. Call Sr. (Roy) son of Ed and Ruth Call grew up in Garland, Utah.
At the age of 17, Roy joined the U.S. Army. During his 20 years of service he had many accomplishments including two tours in Vietnam Tank Commander and Drill Sergeant. He was awarded a Bronze Star and Commendation Medal. With much pride and service to our country Roy retired after 20 years of honorable service.
In 1967 Roy married his loving wife Lynda with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage. Together they raised six children. After the military, Roy made his career as a truck driver, traveling across the U.S. with 30 years and two million miles behind him. He retired at the age of 76.
Roy enjoyed camping fishing and hunting with his boys, he loved the outdoors. He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything! Roy spent his life selflessly serving those around him but most of all he loved his family. As we are full of sorrow, we are also filled with joy knowing his love and spirit lives in us all! Until we meet again…
He is survived by his wife Lynda, children, Peter Call, Gordon (Cindy) Snow, Roger (Tina) Snow, Lynni Snow and Boyce Jr. (Christal) Call, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and brother Rex (Fran) Call.
Preceded in death by his siblings, parents and loving son Bobby.
The family wants to express love and gratitude to his very special nurse Tiffany Buttars.
