Bradley J. Gerrard was shot and killed, Sunday, October 19, 2008, while on his way home after running an errand for his family. Brad cherished life and lived every day to its fullest, always thinking and doing service for others.
He was born May 19, 1980 in Ogden, Utah, the son of David and Karen Gerrard.
Brad graduated from Clearfield High School in 1999, where he was active in football and track.
He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving a mission to Ulaanbaatar Mongolia from 1999 to 2001.
On December 14, 2002, Brad married the love of his life, Susan Michelle (Susie) Roberts in the Bountiful LDS Temple.
He was working as a Corrections Officer for the AZ Department of Corrections at the time of his death.
Brad is survived by his wife; son, Braxton Unen Gerrard; parents; brother, Nathan David Gerrard, Midvale; sister, Tricia Kaye Gerrard, Clearfield; and in-laws, Mike and Janeen Roberts, Syracuse.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Duane and Thelma Leany, Leo and Geraldine Gerrard, aunt, Julie Urie, and uncle, Allen Bayles.
All that knew Brad will miss his smile and friendly spirit. He is now home in the loving arms of his Savior, whom he loved.
A viewing will be held Friday, October 24th from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Clearfield LDS 7th Ward Chapel, 231 East 300 North.
Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted at America First Credit Union under the Brad Gerrard Memorial Fund.
