Branden Scott Smith

January 25, 1997 — January 20, 2025

It is with extremely heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Branden Scott Smith on January 20, 2025. Branden was 27 and born January 25, 1997 in Sandy, Utah to Breezie Poulsen Liskey and Justin Smith. Branden grew up in Davis County and graduated from Layton High School in 2015.

Branden was an extremely talented drummer. He could hear the drums in the background of any song and instantly start drumming along with it. He absolutely loved anything outdoors. Whether he was out fishing, hunting, four wheeling, camping, or just driving around in his truck. That was his happy place! He loved making campfires in the backyard and making smores. He had a sweet tooth, and you could always find him snacking on Reese’s peanut butter cups and double stuffed Oreos.

Branden was a big football fan. He liked The Raiders and was a lifelong Utah Utes fan and loved going to their games. Branden was a country boy at heart who loved country music. Luke Bryan was his favorite, and if he were in town for a concert, you would find Branden there having a great time.

Branden was known for his larger-than-life heart and always putting a smile on everyone’s face. He was such a bright light in this world. He was the most thoughtful, kind, caring, and humble person. He was loved and cherished so deeply by all who knew him.

Branden was dedicated to his family and took pride in helping anyone who was in need. You could always count on him to help with taking care of the dogs or helping with TLCFA. It didn’t matter what it was, Branden was always happy to help.

Branden is survived by his parents Breezie (Howard) Liskey, Justin Smith, his siblings Jesse (Madi) Smith, Michelle (Sage) Liskey, Michael Liskey, his grandparents Cheryl Johnson, Gary Poulsen, Lian Christensen, Scott Smith, Linda Liskey, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Branden is preceded in death by his grandpa, Dana Johnson, his aunt, Casie Christensen, and his dogs, Kearha, Ollie, and Gracie.

We love you so much, Branden. Until we meet again, FLY HIGH!!
