Brandon Lee Pickard
May 19, 1975- February 8, 2015
Our beloved Son, Brother, Uncle and dear Friend returned home to his loving Heavenly Father on February 8 th surrounded by those who love him after a long valiant battle with kidney disease. Brandon truly “Fought the Good Fight”.
He was born in Ogden and was raised by his loving parents Dana and Rhonda Pickard. He grew up surrounded by his siblings, Brittany (Tyler) Watson, Skyler (Bree) Pickard, Chase (Jen) Pickard, and Mariah Pickard. He has nine nieces and nephews who he adores and totally spoiled. They love their “Uncle B”.
Brandon had a special love of life. When he was young, Brandon and his family spent many hours camping and hiking at Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, Snowbird, and in the mountains close to his home. This instilled in him a life- long love of the mountains and the out of doors. He learned to snow ski at a very young age with his parents and later took up snowboarding. He spent many days with friends riding the mountains surrounding Snowbasin and was a proud member of BHC. He loved how beautiful the mountains looked covered in fresh powder. He also enjoyed the adventures of traveling, hiking, fishing, golfing, boating and surfing. He traveled many places but would always talk about a trip he took to Costa Rica with several friends. Brandon loved watching the sunsets from his parent’s porch. He would call his family and friends and tell them to look outside every time there was a beautiful sunset. Brandon was also a very talented artist. He enjoyed drawing and sketching.
Brandon has the most caring and compassionate heart. His favorite time of year was Christmas. He loved to give presents and he put a lot of time and thought into the gifts he would give. He had a talent of always finding the perfect gift for everyone. He found joy in seeing other people happy and loved to make people laugh. He could make friends wherever he went, and wanted to talk to everyone. He had many close friends and cherished those friendships.
Brandon is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He has a testimony of his Savior and the power of the priesthood.
Brandon is survived by his Parents, Dana and Rhonda Pickard and all of his siblings. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Keith and Helen West and Robert and Norma Pickard and several very close friends. Brandon, we love you so much and will miss you more than you will ever know. We wait can’t for the day we will met again.
Brandon and his family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all of the wonderful, special people who have entered our lives during this difficult time to offer their care and kindness. The nurses, doctors and staff who attended to him during the final hours brought us comfort knowing that all that could be done was. The family would also like to thank Dr. Harry Senekjan, Morna, Edith and Chalyse at Bonneville dialysis and the wonderful staff at Farmington Bay Dialysis.
