Brenda Trujillo Montgomery, born in Espanola, New Mexico, on June 27, 1963, peacefully passed away at her home on March 8, 2024. She was a cherished daughter to Manuel and Dorothy Trujillo and a devoted mother to Wesley Montgomery and Shaelyn Montgomery. She married Cole Montgomery on April 17, 1982 at the Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Layton, Utah.  They were married for 17 years before divorcing.

Throughout her life, Brenda found joy in simple pleasures like aerobics, volleyball, basketball, gardening, and spending time playing with her beloved dog Chance. Her warm smile and kind heart touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Brenda embraced her faith as a member of the Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Layton, Utah. She actively participated in the charismatic prayer group and engaged in enlightening Bible studies.

Brenda is survived by her parents Manuel and Dorothy Trujillo; her children Wesley Montgomery and Shaelyn Montgomery; her sisters Joann Cleary (Shawn), Betty Stevenson (James); her brother Waldo Trujillo (Julie); as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will all carry forward her memory with love and reverence.

Brenda is reunited in eternal peace with her grandparents Ubaldo Alire, Genoveva Martinez, Josephine Martinez, Senturnino Trujillo, and Bernardita Velasquez.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday March 15, 2024 at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 Chapel Street, Layton, Utah.  Friends may visit with family Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.  A vigil with Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Brenda's departure has left a void in the hearts of many but her spirit will continue to shine bright through the memories she created with those around her. She will forever be remembered for the love she shared so generously with everyone she met.

May she find eternal peace among the angels above.
