Brenda Nesossis Olsen Montgomery
On Sunday the 16th of December our beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Brenda, left this earthly life surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on August 21, 1942 in Louisville, KY to Charles and Vivian Nesossis. She graduated from Davis High School and attended Weber State College.
She was an official "Air Force brat," having lived in France, Spain and Germany along with various places around the United States. She married Clark Olsen and had three beautiful children. Later they divorced. Thirty years ago she married Larry Montgomery where he brought three beautiful children of his own to their union. They were a team who loved each other and their children deeply.
Brenda and Larry loved to travel the country in their motor home while stopping to read every historical marker alongside the road. The past ten years they spent their summers at their cabin in the Smith and Morehouse area.
Brenda''s resume includes many years at Hill Air Force Base where she worked in Logistics Support. She loved her job and those she worked with. She volunteered at her children''s school and served in the PTA. She co-owned and operated a business for several years. She also served on the board of the Canyon Park Homeowners Association.
She was known for many things, including her quick wit, sense of humor, homemade spaghetti and the way she lived life with zeal. She served as an example to those who knew her, especially in her roles as wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Brenda was known as the "Kool-Aid Mom" of the neighborhood.
Brenda was most loved by her husband, Larry Montgomery; six children, Craig (Tina) Olsen of Huntsville; Christy (Chris) Frazier of Syracuse; Bonnie (Jeff) Hyde of Eden; Scott Montgomery of Ogden; Vicki Brown of Seattle, WA and Rick (Sue) Montgomery of Huntsville; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was also survived by her mother, Vivian "Mimi" Nesossis of South Ogden, brother Geoffrey (Biji) Nesossi, of Sugarland, TX, and a partridge in a pear tree.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles "Coco" Nesossis.
Friends may visit with family on Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd., followed by a Memorial Celebration of her life at 7 p.m.
It was Brenda''s wish to have her final resting place be at the family cabin.
Brenda and her family wish to express their heartfelt gratitude for all the support from loving friends and her skilled caregivers, especially from Abundant Life Home Health and Hospice.
