Brenda Ann Picketts-Porter returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 26, 2021.
Brenda was born in Anchorage, Alaska on October 4, 1967. She attended Chief Moses Jr. High School in Moses Lake, WA. Later she moved to Utah with her foster family Barnard & Cherry Silver. She graduated from Woods Cross High School in 1985.
Brenda attended LDS Business College and University of Utah to achieve her Horticulture Degree because of her love of plants.
Brenda loved to read and doing Sudoku books. She taught herself to crochet and loved making blankets and scarfs for her children and grandchildren. She had such a love for landscaping and making each of her homes beautiful from the inside out. Her favorite flowers were Poppies and Day Lilies. She loved hiking, biking and taking pictures of her adventures while being in the great outdoors. Her favorite pass time of all was spending time with her family. She loved dinner and movie nights, watching her kids play sports, especially the boys's football games. She lit up every room she entered and had a way of making everyone feel included.
Darin and Brenda Porter met in 2000 when they both worked at Home Depot. They were married on March 14, 2001 in the living room of Darin’s childhood home. On March 14, 2002, they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. They successfully blended two families into one, all kids considered one another's.
She is survived by Darin Porter her loving husband, her children, Chelsea Call, Adam Call, Alex Call (Britnee Call), Isiah Porter (Tayler Porter) and Isaac Porter; her grandchildren are, Cora Call, Kyro Porter and Ember Gross; her siblings are William Lee, Evelyn Picketts, Becky Contreras and Jaime Sparks. She had many nieces, nephews and cousins as well as countless friends who loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Claire David Picketts (father), Anna Helen Japheth (mother), Rey Porter (father-in-law), Karen Porter (mother-in-law), Hugo and Lenore Reich (foster parents).
