Brent Ball

Brent Stephen Ball, 72, passed away January 3, 2014.  He was born January 18, 1941 to Grace Littley and Dean A. Ball in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Brent married Suzanne Rakisits on September 17, 1977 in Henry Lake, Utah.  He lived in Clearfield part of his life and then in Layton until his passing.

His employment included oilfield work doing welding repairs and maintenance, as well as driving a bus for Trailways in Salt Lake City.

Brent is survived by his wife of forty years, sons Steven Guy Ball and David Russell (Wendy) Leshon, and daughters Sonja Renee (Paul) Nelson and Shelly Renee (Lance) Read, as well as his brother Dean A. Ball, sister Connie Renee Ball Bertram, and 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family on Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton.
