Brent Brighton
July 15, 1957 ~ January 13, 2019
Brent Brighton was born July 15, 1957 in Ogden, Utah to Homer and DeLores Brighton. He passed away at the age of 61 on January 13, 2019. Brent was born with Down Syndrome. He was the fourth child of six children. Brent lived with his family for the first 18 years of his life in Sunset, Utah. In his youth he was always happy. He loved to run, spin to dad’s classical music in the front room and eat, particularly mashed potatoes.
In his teenage years it became too difficult for his parents to care for him. His care was then given to Wide Horizons Nursing Home in Ogden, Utah. The staff and other residents became his family. He was popular, loved, and well-liked by everyone. He always had a smile on his face. We wish to thank Wide Horizons for their dedication and service to him for over 40 years.
We are excited that he is now whole as to his mind and body. He is now reunited with mom and dad and his oldest sister Barbara who died as an infant. His life was simple. He was so innocent and pure that he will be blessed to return to the presence of Heavenly Father. His life has fulfilled the calling he received in the premortal life.
Brent is survived by two sisters, Bernice (David) Falls and Janet (Jeff) Davis; and two brothers, Gregory (Jean) Brighton and David Brighton; and many nephews and nieces.
