Brent Eugene Gale
April 1, 1941 ~ December 31, 2015
Brent Eugene Gale, 74, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2015. He was born on April 1, 1941 to Harold Fay and Deo Louise Gale in Ogden, Utah. Brent was preceded in death by both parents; his brother, Gary L. Gale; and wife, Sally Gale.
Brent attended Weber State University where he met the love of his life, Sally Leanna Gale. They were married on July 1, 1967 in Ogden, Utah. Together they had one son, James Gale.
Brent took over the family print business, Gale Printing Service, in 1970 when his father retired. He operated this business proudly until health issues forced him to retire.
Early on, Brent had a passion for and competed in freestyle ice skating. He later operated theatre lighting for shows such as Disney On Ice at the Salt Palace. He was involved in many clubs and organizations such as Radio Emergency Associated Communication Teams (REACT) and Commodore 64 users group where he served as president. Brent spent his spare time repairing electronics and tinkering with many projects. He loved hunting for bargains and regularly visited local thrift stores and pawn shops.
For the past six months, Brent has resided at Legacy House Assisted Living of South Jordan, Utah. He was excited to be approved for a Jazzy wheelchair. This gave him the freedom to explore again. He loved being outside and often visited the lobby of the Jordan River LDS Temple to read scriptures. He was working towards being sealed to his family.
Brent is survived by his son, James Gale (Jacqui); grandchildren, Braxton, Brianna, and Tyson. Brent loved and cherished his grandchildren! Since moving to South Jordan, the highlight of each week was when family picked him up for dinner.
Thank you to the staff of Legacy House for welcoming and caring for Brent as part of the Legacy family. Our family would also like to thank the Aspire Home Health/Hospice team for loving our dad. Your care for Brent and his family is much appreciated.
A Graveside service will be held for all family and friends wishing to attend on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd., Ogden. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
