Brent passed away on October 29, 2018. He was born in Ogden, Utah, on February 26, 1940 to Janet and Parley Hancock.

Brent was educated in the Ogden School District, graduating from Ogden High School in 1958. He continued his education at Weber State University earning an Associate, Bachelor, and Masters Degrees in Education.

He was a player’s coach on all levels at Wahlquist Jr. High, Bonneville High, Weber State University, and Clearfield High. Coach Hancock’s goal was to nurture scholar athletes and great citizens.

Brent married Diane Clay on March 22, 1963. They had two sons, Troy (Shelley) Hancock and Curtis (Marilyn) Hancock. The family has grown to 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandson, Preston (Vanessa), Chad (Emily), Austin (Makelle), Ryan, Alexa, Jasen, Cade, Megan, and Davis.

Join us for a Coach Hancock Memoriam on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Mt Ogden Golf Course Club House, 1787 Constitution Way, Ogden, Utah. A short program will start at 5 p.m. followed by food, beverages, and socialization from 6 to 8 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to CTE Neuropathology Fund, Attn: Elizabeth Fay, BU CTE Center, 72 E Concord Street, Robinson, B-7800, Boston MA 02118.
