Brett J. Murdock, loving Husband. Father, and Grandpa, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 3, 2021 at his home.
He was born November 24, 1970 to Michael and Judy Murdock in Ogden, Utah. He graduated from Roy High School, Class of 1989.
Brett worked as a Conductor/Switchman at the Union Pacific Railroad for many years. He retired from Hill Air Force Base as a Composite Fabricator.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Clinton 26th Ward.
On September 11, 1997, Brett married his wife and best friend, Lori Marchant. Together they had two children, Cheyenne and Cooper. His first grandchild, Chandler, was born in July 2018 fulfilling his dream of being a grandpa. His family meant more to him than anything in the world. He was unendingly proud of Cheyenne, Cooper, and Lori.
He was passionate about people! His greatest joy was hanging out with family and friends and he was always the life of the party. Brett loved going to Bear Lake and entertaining around the campfire, he lived to make people laugh and nobody laughed harder than Lori did; his biggest fan. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and pretty much anything outdoors.
Brett will be greatly missed by his wife Lori, his children Cheyenne and Cooper, his mother Judy Murdock, his granddaughter Chandler, his sister Misty (Rob) Goss, his brother Durk (Traci) Murdock, nieces, nephews, and a host of long-time friends. Brett was preceded in death by his father Michael Murdock and his great-niece Acelyn Jo.
A private viewing will be held Monday, May 10, 2021 from 9:30 – 10:30 am at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. at the Hooper Cemetery, 5301 South 6300 West, Hooper, Utah 84315.
