Brett Smith

Brett Nielsen Smith , 55, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015, at his home.  He was born April 24, 1959 in Provo, Utah to Phil M. Smith and Diane N. Smith.  Brett attended Davis High School and graduated a Dart with the class of 1977.  He served an LDS mission in Thailand, and after returning, he was sealed to his high school sweetheart, Annie(Annette) Waite Smith, on March 5,1983.  Brett also graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelors in Health Administration.

Brett and Annie relocated to Kaysville and gave birth to Bannon Waite Smith on June 23, 1996, who they loved with all their hearts.  Annie preceded Brett in death on April 10, 2004.  Annie was the love and soul of Brett's life. She was his best friend and soul mate; he kept their eternal bond and never remarried. After her passing, Brett left work as a Registered Nurse to devote his time to raising Bannon.  They enjoyed camping in the Uintah Mountains together and watching movies. The Great Race and Paint Your Wagon were among his favorites.

He was sustained by many loving family members, especially his son, Bannon. The family would like to thank the many friends and family who stood with him in the final weeks of his life. A special thanks to those who helped care for his physical needs, including David and Brenda Smith and Helen Molz.

A loving father, a devoted husband, who adored his wife, and a genuine friend for those who gained that status.

We love you.
