Brian Douglas Bailey
Brian Douglas Bailey our loving father, grandfather, son and brother passed from this life early Christmas morning. Brian was born June 17, 1957 in Ogden, Utah to Jay and Ranae Bailey. He graduated from Ogden High School and later served an LDS mission in Australia. He married Cindy Purrington in July 1979. They had four daughters and later divorced. He loved his girls and was always so proud of them.
Brian loved making people laugh and he always had such a big heart. He was a great friend to all who knew him. He was very charming and charismatic. Brian was a successful salesman in the furniture business for many years.
Brian''s greatest passion was his music. He loved to jam with his brothers and was a very talented guitarist, pianist and singer. He had a great love for animals, everything from dogs to rats. Brian was a free spirit and loved adventure. He enjoyed going on trips, golfing, skiing, tennis and basketball. Dad, we love you and miss you very much!
Brian is survived by his four daughters Trudy (Jeff), Kassi (Nate), Summer (Casey), Charlotte (Greg); 12 grandchildren; cat, Boosky; rat, Coopy; brothers Dave, Steve (Connie), Tyler (Krista); and sister Karen (Tim). He is also survived by his father Jay Bailey and step-mother Susie. He is preceded in death by his mother Ranae Bailey and baby brother Bobby.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, South Ogden.
