Brian Matthew Copeland passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 with his loving family by his side.

Brian was born September 26, 1978 in Bountiful, Utah, the son of Lee Copeland and Suzanne Rhees Copeland.

The lives of everyone who knew Brian were blessed by his kind heart and sweet spirit. Brian had a gentle nature. He was sensitive and intelligent. He maintained his dry sense of humor and quick, clever wit even under the most difficult circumstances. He loved music, especially playing his guitar. He loved the outdoors. Yellowstone Park was one of his favorite places. He also loved spending time at the ocean. As a child he loved sports and played baseball and basketball for hours with his friends.

On June 28, 2003, he married his beloved Heather Sanderson, daughter of Robert Sanderson and Cyndie Sanderson Gilbert. They have two beautiful children, Cassidy Skye Copeland and Kayden Matthew Copeland who were the great loves of Brian''s life. Brian touched many hearts and was loved by all who knew him. We know that we will be with Brian again and will spend eternity together.

Brian was preceded in death by his grandmother, Juanita Judkins Rhees, his grandfather, Otis Lee Copeland Jr., and his grandmother, Bonnie Maxine Chapman Copeland.

He is survived by his father, mother, grandfather, Donald W. Rhees, and his wife and children. In addition, Brian has four brothers, Shawn Christopher Copeland, David Patrick Copeland, Thomas Lee Copeland, and Rajan Alak Copeland, and four sisters, Cathleen Elwood, Melissa Ann Green, Carrie Lynn Wilson, and Sundari Copeland. He also had many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, Kaysville, Utah. Friends and family may call Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden, Utah.
