Brian Mottishaw April 4, 1935 a" October 29, 2012
SPANISH FORK - Brian Mottishaw, 77, passed away Monday October 29, 2012 in Payson, Utah.
He was born in Yorkshire, Doncaster, England to Hilda Jane Hutchinson and Herbert Mottishaw. Survivor of the Battle of Britain and later moved to Utah at 14 years of age. In his youth he was granted the opportunity to perform with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. He attended and later graduated from Davis High by the age of 16. Brian met his future bride, Patricia Ann Muir and later married her in Kaysville, Utah on February 14, 1964. They later solemnized their union in the Provo Utah LDS Temple.
A true patriot, he served in the US Army during the Korean War. He later graduated from the FBI Academy and then served as the Chief of Police for Layton City. He furthered his law enforcement career by serving in the San Francisco Attorney General''s Office in Redwood City, CA. Later he worked as an Administrator for Children''s Hospital of Orange County and then retired as the CEO of Pioneer Valley Hospital.
After his retirement he and his wife of 48 years served a temple mission in St. George, Utah and then two missions at Cove Fort. He was a strong and charismatic leader who never felt that anyone should work for him, but rather with him.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Ann Mottishaw (Pam), his daughter Caryn Alarcon, his son Brad Mottishaw and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday, November 2, 2012 at the Sunset Ward Chapel, 99 North 920 West, Spanish Fork, Utah where friends may visit family from 9:30 a" 10:30 am prior to services. Interment to follow at 3 pm at Lakeview Memorial Park, Bountiful, Utah under the directions of Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary.
