Briggs Christopher Zendejas

On January 19, 2017, Briggs Christopher Zendejas, surrounded by his family, returned to arms of his loving Heavenly Father.

He was born alongside his twin, Meela Natalie Zendejas, on January 12, 2017 to Hollie Marshall Zendejas and Zachary Paul Zendejas at University of Utah Hospital. Both being premature, Meela continues her valiant battle to stay with her family.

Briggs will be remembered for his constant movement whenever his mom played the Mary Poppins soundtrack, the special spirit he brought when he was born, and the special bond he had with his sister, Meela.

He is survived by his parents, Hollie and Zach Zendejas, and sister, Meela, grandparents, Debbie and David Marshall, all of West Point; grandparents, Debi and Paul Zendejas, San Bernardino, CA; Great-grandparents, James and Deanna Bridges, Sunset; Vicky Zendejas, Colton, CA; and Sharon Miller, Overton, NV; and aunts and uncles, Karalee (Josh) Lyman, Brigham City; Byron (Heidi) Garritson, Syracuse; Krista (Dustin) Harrah, Syracuse; and Melissa Zendejas, San Bernardino, CA. He also leaves behind 13 cousins who love and will miss him dearly. Briggs is preceded in death by his loving and hilarious aunt, Natalie Marshall Garritson, who we know will take care him until we can.

The family wishes to thank the amazing NICU Doctors, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Respiratory Therapists and many more staff members at the University of Utah and Primary Children's Hospitals.

A family funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W 5600 S. The family will meet with friends Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, West Point City Cemetery, 80 N 4000 W, West Point.
