Brigitte Maria Feick

September 24, 1942 — October 20, 2024

Brigitte Maria Feick, a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, returned home to her Father in Heaven peacefully at her home in Layton, Utah, on Sunday, October 20, 2024, surrounded by her family.

She was born on September 24, 1942, in Stuttgart, Germany, surrounded by the love of her family and hardships of war. Brigitte is the daughter of Ludwig and Maria Lohrmann and together as a family -including her brother Manfred - she immigrated to the United States at the age of 13 on the SS United States. Here she found freedom and happiness and began her own family. Her life was a testament to strength, faith, and love and she shared that with those around her.

In 1962, Brigitte married her beloved husband, Paul Feick, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and together they built a life and family together. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she faithfully served in the Primary and Relief Society, touching the lives of many through her kindness and dedication. Brigitte found joy in the simple things — nurturing her flower and vegetable gardens, creating beautiful sewing projects, and sharing special moments as an Elementary School room mother. She also worked at a flower shop in Germany, which she absolutely loved! She also enjoyed working at Auerbach’s Department Store in SLC, then staying at home with her children as a homemaker, later she spent many years working in the lunch room at Central Davis Junior High, she made long lasting friends and the students just loved her!

Her greatest joy, however, came from her family. Brigitte was always there for her family. Her love and support were constants in the lives of her children, Robert (Pam), Ronald (Yolanda), Steven (Heidi), and Deanna (Travis), her 14 grandchildren, and her 3 great-grandchildren. She was a beacon of warmth and care to all who knew her. She would not let her children or grandchildren enter or leave the house without a big warm hug. Brigitte is now reunited with her husband, Paul; her brother, Manfred; her grandson, Korbin; and her parents.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Denise from Aspen Ridge Home Health and Hospice, as well as to the many friends and neighbors who provided friendship, love, and support throughout her life. Brigitte will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.
