Brittany Christensen, passed peacefully from this mortal existence with her parents by her side on February 5, 2021, in Murray Utah, after a long hard fought battle with Type 1 Diabetes, Kidney Failure, Kidney-Pancreas Transplant, Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Brain tumors and numerous other health complications.
Brittany was born in Cedar City, Utah on October 26, 1986, to David Galen Christensen and Joyce Bauer Christensen.
She attended Layton High School and College at Southern Utah University.
Brittany lived in Cedar City, Saint George, Bountiful, and Layton Utah.
Brittany was known for her exceptional work ethic and enjoyed working for Paces and Fresh Market in Layton, Utah. She was employed by the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of Utah, where she was a dedicated public servant for the last 10 years.
One of her greatest satisfaction‘s in life was serving the public and the relationship she had with her co-workers and the court family.
She was an active and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved Temple service and held many callings.
Brittany had many hobbies, some of her greatest loves and passions were, all things Disney. Her favorite holiday was Halloween and she loved dressing up along with also celebrating her birthday the whole month of October. She enjoyed watching movies and was an avid reader of many different books. She loved to travel, attend music concerts, go to Disneyland as often as she could and most of all spending time with her family and loved ones. She loved going to the family cabin in Southern Utah. She loved animals, especially her dogs.
Although Brittany had a tough life, she still had a positive attitude and good outlook. She influenced and impacted everyone she came in contact with. Her big smile and smiling eyes, were infectious. Right up to the end of her life she was smiling, encouraging and inspiring everyone. She never stopped telling her caregivers thank you and apologizing to them for having to take care of her. Brits journey and example provided, hope, love and faith to so many.
Brittany is survived by her parents and her siblings Jared (Caitlyn), Tyler (Aubrey), Dilon, Kyle(Brooklyn), Katelynn.
Her grandmother’s Annette Bauer, Janice Excell, and many Uncles, Aunts and Cousins.
She adored children, especially her nieces and nephews, Bud, Birdie, Bear, Campbell, Grit, Remy, Baylor, and Jocie.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 6-8 pm and on Monday from 12:30-1:30 pm prior to services at the mortuary. Interment: Cedar City, Utah Cemetery on Tuesday, February 16th at 1:00 pm. Brittany’s Funeral Services will be live-streamed on this site by scrolling to the bottom of this web page on the day of services.
The family wishes to express special thanks, to all those that supported, offered prayers, donations, kind words, and service, to her and her family over the years and recent difficult months. We especially want to thank her doctors, nurses, caregivers and everyone, who fought so hard and took care of our B at Intermountain Medical Center, Murray Utah.
