Brody Greg Boyer

October 18, 1977 ~ September 14, 2021

Brody Greg Boyer our loving son, father and brother passed away unexpectedly on September 14, 2021, at the age of 43, in Las Vegas, Nevada where he was living.

Brody was born October 18, 1977, in Ogden, Utah to Greg and Debbie Boyer. He grew up in Ogden where he attended school and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1996.

He was a fun-loving little boy, curious and full of life. Every day was an adventure for him. Brody was strong willed with a charming personality and a smile that would win anyone over. As he grew up, he developed many talents and skills that helped him throughout his life.

He was creative and inventive, he loved to see what made things tick! This led him to some of his many occupations, many of which were self-taught.

As a teenager he learned to run a backhoe and heavy equipment. Later, he taught himself to weld, design, and manufacture trailers. He worked in construction as a framer, finish carpenter and all-around skilled handyman. This gave him the skills to start his own fencing company that he operated with a small crew. Brody was artistic and liked designing his own business cards and brochures.

As a family, we mostly enjoyed being around Brody because of his fun sense of humor, that we all loved and will miss. He would make a family gathering a party!

Brody married Stephanie Hales in 1998. They were later divorced. But from that union came the most important person in Brody’s life, his beautiful daughter Brecklyn, who he loved and adored. He was a proud father and loved her unconditionally. Brody and his sister Brooke had a special connection. They always watched out for each other and even when they had their own lives, they were always mindful of each other.

Brody wasn’t perfect and many times was full of mischief, which got him into trouble. He struggled with drug addiction for many years. However, that did not define who he was as a person. For those who loved and knew him he was much more. He was friendly to everyone and had a lot of kindness and warmth in his heart. He cared deeply about his family and never ended a phone call without an “I LOVE YOU!”

Brody lived in Las Vegas the last year and half of his life, where he rekindled his relationship with his high school sweetheart, Alysha Stromberg-Spendlove whom he loved dearly.

Brody is survived by his parents, Greg and Debbie Boyer; his sister, Brooke (Nick) Thiros; daughter, Brecklyn and his girlfriend, Alysha; also, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Elva Moore, Fern and Fay Boyer, and Uncle Dee Boyer.

Private family services will be held to honor Brody’s life. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.

The family requests that Covid restrictions be recognized.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the “Weber -Morgan, Children’s Justice Center.”  At https://www.cjcogden.org/contact-us-donations
