Brody J. Spinden
NORTH OGDEN – Brody John Spinden, 30 years young, took his final trip around the bases on Friday, November 13, 2009.
Brody began beating the odds since his birth on February 10, 1979, to Mark Nye Spinden and Linda Jane Scott. He over shot the doctor’s predictions by about 30 great years. His presence became the family’s idea of fun, humor, and excitement. Keeping up with him was like nailing jelly to a tree.
An all Amercian kid from day one, he loved softball, the Raiders, his dog Nova, fast cars, making people laugh, and undeniably his Momma. His brothers, family, and friends admired his spirit – from dressing up as Santa to being a fun loving protector.
Brody married Katie Larsen on June 6, 2008. They were later divorced but remained good friends.
He worked as a proud employee for Home Depot.
God smiled on Brody throughout his life as he gave us hope and a simple perspective on how to live life to its fullest. We will miss you Brody
Surviving are his parents, Mark N. and Sandy Spinden; Linda and Lee Child; five brothers, Ryan (Amber) Spinden, Jared (Debbie) Spinden, Trent (Jen) Thomas, Kelly (Me’Chell) Thomas, Landen Thomas; two sisters, Markie Spinden and Sandi (Jeff) Gibb; his grandmother, Janice Weaver; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the West Weber Cemetery, 1000 North 4600 West.
Friends may call at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd., on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Primary Children’s Medical Center in memory of Brody.
