Bruce L. Allen

Bruce L Allen Sr., 76 passed away July 3, 2013 at home, surrounded by his family, from complications of cancer.

He was born on June 22, 1937 in Ogden, Utah where he was a life-long resident. He began his life with Sharon Andreoli on November 3, 1955.

He was employed with the Southern Pacific Railroad for 44 years, retiring on June 1, 1999.

After retiring from the Railroad, he opened Just Golf with Don Thompson in Sunset, Salt Lake, Logan, Mesquite, and Layton, UT. He was also the past Vice President of the oldest car club in the U.S., The Stags.

Bruce loved to travel, he enjoyed fishing in Mexico & Alaska, scuba diving in Hawaii, and many relaxing cruises with family.

Bruce is survived by his wife Sharon Allen, three children and their spouses: Bruce L Allen Jr. (Dawn), Jeffery R Allen (Christy), and Angela Thredgold. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Tate, Cydanie, Bretten, Mychael, Travis, Kate, A.J., Isaac, and Jessica.

Bruce''s family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Johnson and his staff as well as the IHC Hospice nurses, who provided such excellent care.

A service will be held on Saturday, July 13th at 1 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. The family will meet with friends from 11:45 to 12:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
