Bruce Lynn Bayne

Bruce Lynn Bayne, 67, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his loving wife and family, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
He was born November 30, 1947 in Ogden, Utah to Kay Burton Bayne and June E. Wolf. He graduated from Clearfield High School in 1965.
He served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War.
On December 28, 1968, Bruce married Susan Prout in Sunset, Utah.
He retired in 2006 after 40 years of civil service at Hill Air Force Base. He finished his aircraft career of 50 years with a great group of people at Petersen Incorporated.
Bruce could fix or build anything. He always had a project he was working on. He loved working in his yard, being in the outdoors, hunting and fishing. His greatest love was his family and the wonderful times they spent together.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Susan; their children, Julie (Todd) Campbell, Syracuse; Debbie (Noel) Olson, Syracuse; Dave Bayne, Clinton; Dan (Jackie) Bayne, West Point; 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family thanks Dr. Darin Checketts and the Huntsman Cancer Center for their exceptional care. Also, special thanks to Brighton Home Care and Hospice and our family, friends and neighbors.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the West Point Cemetery, 40 North 4000 West. The family will meet with friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
