Bruce Jay Dallinga

Bruce Jay Dallinga, 68, passed away at his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 29, 1948 in Ogden, Utah to John R. “Jack” and Wanda Dalley Dallinga.
He graduated from Bonneville High School in 1967 and later attended Weber State College. Bruce proudly joined the United States Marine Corps and served in Vietnam.
He married Helen Campbell in 1974. Together they had four children, they later divorced.
Bruce loved anything outdoors; camping, hunting, fishing, golfing, gardening and riding motorcycles.
Bruce was a tough, hard-nosed man until he got around his grandbabies, then his soft and silly side came out.
Bruce loved his family and is survived by his children, Jennifer, John (Katharine), Sarah (Keith Van Otten), Brian, seven grandchildren, his dog, Plot, one brother, Dennis (Donna) and two sisters, Linda (Richard) Thorsted and Robin McLellen. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a niece, Lisa Pirtle.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017 at the Clinton 8th Ward, 702 West 1300 North. The family will meet with friends Thursday, May 4th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Clinton City Cemetery.
