Bruce Messerly
July 13, 1959 ~ February 10, 2019
The youngest of six children Bruce Lee Messerly was born on July 13, 1959. Being the youngest didn’t prevent him from paving the way for others in his life especially his children. His years of being a father can be recounted by any who knew him. Even while being a father, Bruce spent much of his time in service to those in his community and a host of friends.
Bruce moved to the desert in the 1980’s and worked in construction. He worked for 15 plus years as the Construction Coordinator for “The Bob Hope Desert Classic” while also continuing to rebuild and remodel homes around the Coachella Valley. If a patch job needed to be done or a wall knocked down Bruce was usually first on scene ready to help.
A cup of coffee and a good conversation was all that was needed to start the job, he worked hard and it showed in his ethic and craftsmanship.
After successfully raising his children Bruce cultivated his passion for Motorcycles and riding his Harley Davidson. Being a grandfather and spending time, which that can easily be seen through the eyes of children and grandchildren. Bruce was loved by all and will be missed but never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held with his son Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 975 Wall Ave., Ogden.
