Bryan Petersen

Bryan Louis Petersen

April 21, 1943 ~ December 10, 2020

Bryan was born in Ogden, Utah at the Thomas Dee Memorial Hospital on April, 21, 1943 to Grant Lund Petersen and Carla Jensine Nielsen and was the fifth of seven children. He grew up in Ogden doing all things boys do. Some of Bryan’s favorite things include basketball, John Wayne, cars, pretty girls, jokes, Utah Jazz, good music, babies, little children, dogs and most important, his family.

His twinkly blue eyes, engaging smile and charming personality captured the heart of everyone he came in contact with. He was a gentleman and always had a hand-shake or offered a helping hand with your coat. Bryan spoke his own language but always managed to convey his message. He would sneak chocolate at any chance (knowing he shouldn’t have it), he’d hang up the phone on you in a heart-beat because he couldn’t make you understand (or he was just sick of hearing it ring) his glob of a pb and j made all by himself made him proud. He never left a wastebasket full or anything around the house out of place. Don’t interrupt his meal, his John Wayne, Dukes of Hazzard or his routine or you will get the resounding “NO!”.

Bryan has taught generations the true meaning of love, patience, understanding, comedy, and appreciation for the small things. He has lived through and overcome more than most and definitely defied what many said he would do or survive.

Bryan’s time on earth came to a close on December 10, 2020. He is survived by two brothers; Robert (Barbara) Petersen and Rex G. Petersen; both of Boise, ID. There are also numerous nieces and nephews along with a growing number of grand-nieces and grand-nephews. His parents and siblings Grant, LuDeen, Russell, and Scott were waiting to greet him on the other side. Bryan, you’ve been a living angel on earth for 77 years - thank you for the lessons, the laughter and the love. Without a word you taught us much. We love you Banjo.
