Bryant Lloyd Madsen

Bryant Lloyd Madsen passed away peacefully at his home in Kaysville, Utah on March 28, 2015 after losing a long, hard battle with addiction.

He was born August 31, 1943 the son of Claire Boychuck Madsen and Lloyd Whitlock Madsen. He married Montie Sue Hill in 1962 and they had two children.  Later in life he married his soul mate Carol Nelson and they spent many years together.

Bryant was a graduate of Ben Lomond High School. He received his master’s degree from Brown University in Rhode Island.  His passions were hunting and fishing.  He loved his two dogs Patches  and Daisy and his cat Em.

He is survived by his daughters Marcie Madsen Rowe (Jeff); Mindy Madsen Devenport; grandchildren, Isabella Rowe; Shay and Kayson Devenport; brothers Gary Madsen (Susan) and Larry Madsen (Shelly).  He is also survived by four step-children; Vicky Beck (Andy); Kristy Nelson (Oliver Zeh); Cindy Cherrington; and Brian Nelson (Debbie Rios); 10 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by his wife and brother Allan Madsen.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. where friends may visit family from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services. Interment Kaysville City Cemetery.
