Bryce A. Ford

Bryce A. Ford PHOENIX, Ariz. – Our beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, Bryce Albert Ford, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2008, in Phoenix, Arizona of cancer. He was born August 9, 1954, in Ogden, Utah, the son of Albert Henry and Mary Kathryn Claypool Ford. Bryce married Rebecca “Becky” Sue Wiese in February of 1972. From this union came a son, Tyler James and a daughter, Andrea Sue. They were later divorced. He graduated from Roy High School in 1972. As a young man, Bryce enjoyed pitching baseball on a local little league team. Later, he played the drums in a rock and roll band with several close friends from school. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. Bryce was employed at Tires@Wholesale in Phoenix, Arizona. He had been in the tire wholesale business for several of the past years, and made many acquaintances and friends along the way. He will be greatly missed by all of those he did business with. Bryce loved all kinds of sports and attending sporting events. He longed for spring training to begin in Phoenix so he could take some well deserved time away from work to go catch a few games. He also enjoyed going to see the major leaguers play the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field. Surviving are his son, Tyler James (Shannon) Ford, Harrisville; daughter, Andrea Sue (Trevor) Earl, Ogden; two grandchildren, Macintyre Albert Ford and Isabel Dlynn Ford, Harrisville; and soon to be “Baby Boy Earl”, Ogden. Also surviving are his mother, Mary, Roy; and sister, Marilyn Ford Barber, Pleasant Hill, CA. Bryce was preceded in death by his father, Albert Henry Ford. His family expresses special thanks to his Arizona family and friends who took care of him and gave him love and care during his final days. Deep appreciation is given to the friends from The Pub-N-Grub in Mesa, Arizona and to Hospice of the Valley. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 7 at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends and family may call at the mortuary on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Roy City Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held in Arizona at a later date. Email condolences to the family at: www.lindquistmortuary.com
