Buena J. Price

“Together Again” Buena J. Price OGDEN – Buena Colleen Johnson Price, 83, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Saturday, April 7, 2007 at a local care center. She was born December 1, 1923 in Ogden, a daughter of Ernest Lutgurt and Mille Chapman Johnson. On June 27, 1942, Buena married Thomas J Price in Coleman, Texas. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Thomas preceded her in death on December 30, 2004. She was raised and educated in Evanston, Wyoming graduating from Evanston High School in 1941 where she was secretary of the Senior Class. She also won the Mrs. Wyoming Pageant. Buena was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she was a long time Visiting Teacher and Sunday School Teacher. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and also served as secretary of the Officer’s Wives Club. Buena had a variety of interests including painting, sculpturing, reading, genealogy and listening to music. She loved her extensive travels through the United States and Europe and visiting the different art museums. Buena was a kind and loving mother and a beloved wife. Surviving are four sons, Gary (Marty) Price, Sandy; Thomas (Vanna) Price, West Jordan; Keith (Jackie) Price, Harrisville; Steven (Janette) Price, West Point; 25 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband Lt. Col. Thomas J. Price (Ret.) and her parents. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. The family would like to thank those at Country Pines, Manor Care, and Inspiration Hospice for the wonderful care in her behalf.
