Byron Robbins Beck, 66, passed away peacefully in his home on August 21st, 2024.He was born to Blair LeRoy and Marilyn May Beck on September 7, 1957, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the first born and only son. Marilyn always referred to him as her “baby boy”. He grew up in Roy, Utah and was proud to be a Roy High Royal, where he was involved in band.
Byron faithfully served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Rome, Italy.
Byron married his eternal companion Julie Ann Bischoff in the Logan Temple on September 21, 1979. Together they have 4 children, Justin (Courtney), Kelsey Miller (Lynn), Amy Perucca (Nick), and Kaylee Beck (Landon).
He graduated from Weber College with a degree in accounting, and later graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master of Business Administration from Utah State University.
Byron was a CPA and retired as the CFO at Browning Arms Manufacturing after 22 years. He was loved by all who worked with him.
Byron dedicated his life to serving in his church as a Bishop, High Counselor, and most recently, a temple worker serving at the Ogden Temple. He had a strong testimony of his Savior, Jesus Christ, and lived by example of his love for Him.
In his free time, Byron loved cycling, off-roading, hunting, skiing, learning, and volunteering in his community. One of his proudest moments was when, after 30 years, he picked up his clarinet again and became a member of the Ogden Concert Band, the Syracuse Community Orchestra, and performed many times in the production of the Lamb of God.
The greatest joy in his life was spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Julie, his 4 children, and 9 grandchildren, Juliet, Felicity, and Cecilia Beck; Lily, Blade, and Taylie Miller; Molly, Elizabeth, and Elouise Perucca; His 2 sisters, Marla Tate (Brian), and Kalene Watkins (Richard).
He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. We love you forever Bu.
A viewing will be held Sunday, August 25 th from 6-8 pm at the Syracuse Lindquist Mortuary 869 South 2000 West, Syracuse, UT. Funeral will be held at the same location on Monday, August 26th at 11 am with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 am. Graveside services will follow the funeral at the Syracuse City Cemetery.
