C. Vivian Tracy
OGDEN – Catherine Vivian Olsen Tracy, 84, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Mt. Ogden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of causes incident to age.
She was born in Richfield, Utah, a daughter of George T. and Mary Clark Olsen.
Vivian married Myron Mack “Mike” Tracy on September 23, 1940. They had one daughter, Sharon K. Tracy. Mike passed away November 19, 1992. Their marriage was solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple in 1993.
Vivian was educated in the Ogden City Schools.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in several callings in the different wards she attended. She served as a secretary and coordinator of the Monroe Branch Relief Society for many years, and also a Branch Historian.
She was a nurse at St. Benedict’s Hospital for 35 years before retiring in 1984.
Surviving are her daughter, Sharon K. Tracy, Santa Rosa, CA; and many nieces, nephews, their spouses and children, which she loved dearly.
Preceding Vivian in death were her parents, brothers, Clark Olsen, William Olsen, Floyd Olsen and twin siblings, Samuel Gerald Olsen and Jane O. Larsen.
The family wishes to thank Mt. Ogden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their great care, and also the kindness and care of Hospice.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
