C. Gwen Zampedri

C. Gwen Zampedri OGDEN – Celia Gwen Zampedri, 92, died Friday, August 14, 2009 at a local care center of causes incident to age. She was born November 20, 1916 in Ogden, a daughter of Edmund Louis and Effie Montgomery Fretz. She was a member of the U.S. Navy Waves. In September of 1947, Gwen married Frank Zampedri. Frank preceded her in death on May 18, 1986. She worked at Hill Air Force Base for many years and retired from the Internal Revenue Service. Surviving are her children, Luana (Doug) Thompson, Frank E. Zampedri, Robert (Becky) Zampedri, Steven Lee Zampedri, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother, and her husband. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Aultorest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the I.H.C. Hospice. We would also like to thank the staff of Manor Care Health Services for the wonderful care they gave to our mother.
