Cameron Adrian Lockwood, 43, of Layton Utah, passed away on June 9, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones and returned to the loving arms of his Savior Jesus Christ.
Cameron was born on June 25, 1979 to Steven and Shari Lockwood in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended schools in the Layton area. In July of 1997, he was blessed with a son, Kaden Barker, his mini me, whom he loved and adored. He met his best friend and sweetheart, Beth Lay, in 2006. They welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Taylor Paige, in February of 2008.
Cameron was a man of many hobbies. He enjoyed sports, fishing, reading and spending time with his family. Most recently, Cameron, Beth, his two kids, and nephew Trace, loved participating in axe throwing leagues. Kaden and his dad spent many evenings bonding through this sport.
Cameron had amazing talents. He was able to see something that was broken and fix it, find something he wanted to build and build it, or see how something worked and replicate it. Taylor spent a lot of time with her dad watching him build things from dirt bikes to fish tanks. They also liked to go on long walks together.
Cameron was just a big kid at heart. He teased everyone around him, mostly his sister Amber. He was up for any game, especially when there were cash prizes involved.
Cameron, his mom and dad, and brother and sister are very close and had a lot of adventures together including; camping at South Fork, late night binge watching of Tammy and the Doctor and Gidget movies, fishing all over the state of Utah and rooftop eclipse and star gazing. They will all miss his big personality.
Cameron is survived by his parents, Steven and Shari Lockwood, sister Amber (Stefen), brother Casey (Lauren), children Kaden Barker and Taylor Lockwood, sweetheart Beth Lay, and nieces and nephews (Camrin, Audree, Trace, Cole and Ethan).
A graveside memorial will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. for close family and friends.
