Carl Edward Busboom, our loving and devoted husband, dad and grandpa, returned home to the arms of his Father in Heaven, Sunday, December 15, 2013.
Carl was born September 4, 1943, to Edward and Leatha Busboom of Pocatello, Idaho. He grew up in Pocatello and loved to tell stories of his time growing up in Idaho. Carl later moved with his family to Ogden, where he met and married JoAnn Jaeger. Together they had a son and later divorced.
In 1975, Carl met and married the love of his life, Relda Fowers. They were blessed with five beautiful children. Carl served in both the US Air Force and in the US National Guard, from which he later retired. Carl loved his family dearly. He loved to watch his children play hockey and the family travelled around much of the country to different hockey tournaments. He loved his grandchildren and much of his last years were devoted to their care. He was an avid scholar who loved to read and he will always be remembered for his quick wit and teasing ways. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and loved to spend time with his boys watching the games. Carl loved to have fun whether it was joining in a summertime game of backyard volleyball or board games around the family table.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Relda, two sisters, Peggy and Cindy, and his children; James (Kora) Busboom, Heather (David) Oleson, Damon Busboom , Ramon (Andrea) Busboom, Amanda (Edward) Marvin and Eric (Tausha) Busboom.
