Carl Forsgren Peterson

On July 19, 2007, Carl Forsgren Peterson, 88, our patriarch and beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather passed away in his sleep at the home of his daughter, Sharon.

He was born March 25, 1919 in Ogden, Utah to William Bengt and Celestia Lettie Forsgren Peterson.

Carl met his beloved Ruth at Ogden High and the high school sweethearts were married March 22, 1941.

He served in the Construction Battalion of the Navy in the South Pacific during WWII, receiving the Asiatic Pacific Area 1 Star, Philippine Liberation Area 1 Star and the Victory Ribbon.

After the war, he went back to work for Mountain Bell Telephone and retired with 40 years of service.

He enjoyed working in his yard, wood working, square and round dancing and loved sitting on the porch with his wife.

Carl is survived by his beautiful wife, Ruth; three children, Martin (Mary) Peterson, Sharon Tracy-Lowe and Karen Gilbert; nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
