It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carl Perry Stewart, of Layton, Utah, who left us on June 6, 2024, at the age of 67. Born in 1957 to parents Carlene (Glines) Sudweeks and William Stewart and later raised by step-father, Daniel Allen Sudweeks.
Carl had two daughters, Spring of Clearfield and Felicity of Brigham City whom he loved with all his heart and soul.
Carl was an avid outdoorsman and found joy in the simple pleasures. He loved fishing and was always prepared with a fishing pole in his car to fish in mountain streams and local ponds or lakes. He also enjoyed archery, bowling, skiing, golf and working in the yard. Carl would feed the birds each morning and watch them gather around him as if he wasn’t there. Carl was a poet, writing many poems and received a few awards for his prose. Carl was also a dedicated and hardworking man, committing over 25 years of his life to his career on Hill Air Force Base. He was known for his hard work, dedication, kindness and humbleness. His warm and generous spirit made him a beloved friend, co-worker and family member.
Carl is pre-deceased by his mother Carlene Sudweeks, stepfather Daniel Allen Sudweeks, natural father William Stewart, and siblings Sharon McQuiddy and James “Jimmy” Darrell Sudweeks.
