Maurine Pierce of Ogden passed away peacefully at the George E Wahlen Veterans Home on Sunday, January 8, 2023, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
She was born in Payson, to Carlisle and Florence Hone. Her family moved to Ogden where she lived throughout her life.
Maurine met the love of her life, Benjamin Berry Pierce and they were married for 52 year. They loved to travel and most of all gamble. They spent many winters in Las Vegas where they could do what they enjoyed.
Maurine was a talented beautician and had her own shop in her home for years. She was an amazing cook and baker and loved to entertain friends and family.
Maurine is survived by her three children, Donald Glen Pierce of Portland, OR, Judy Lynn Pierce of Ogden, and Berry Lee (Sally) Pierce of Ogden; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. They all adored her very much.
We would like to thank the staff at George E. Wahlen Veterans Home, especially the nurses in the memory care unit. And thanks to hospice, during the last few difficult weeks.
The family will have a graveside service and celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
