Carla Rae Sederholm

June 18, 1952 ~ June 25, 2015

Our beloved wife, mother and grandma passed away on June 25, 2015 after 8 ½ years of a courageous battle of cancer.

She was born June 18, 1952 in Tremonton, Utah to Elmer Mahnke and Hazel Mae Barfuss.  She graduated from Ben Lomond High School and LDS Seminary.  She married Glen E. Sederholm on July 29, 1970 and later was sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple.  They had a wonderful life and were married for 45 years.

Carla loved being with her children and teaching them to work hard.  She had many church callings throughout her life and enjoyed being involved with and helping the youth, especially the young women.  She retired from Ogden city school District.  She was a counselor’s secretary and financial secretary for 25 years at Ogden High School.  She loved going to work.  If there was ever a person who loved shopping it was Carla.  This was almost a daily treat for her.  Her family was the light of her life.

She is survived by her husband Glen and their children, Tammy (Todd) Crowther, Shane (Jana) Sederholm, Jason (Kayelynn) Sederholm, Amy (Dave) Young; and her beloved 12 grandchildren.  Carla is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
