Carma Gough

April 24, 1944 — November 11, 2023

Carma Marie Gough, 79, peacefully fulfilled her earthly incarnation at 4:44pm 11/11/2023 in Utah holding her daughter’s hand.

The eldest daughter of Calvin & Marie Gough. She was born 4/24/1944 in Hollister California. She grew up with two sisters; Yvonne & Denise and two brothers; Rodger & Gary

A proud mother to her cherished children; Mark Calvin Housel, Karla Jean Housel Bates, Clint Wade Housel. She always let them know they had a mother who cared about and believed in them regardless of the many adventurous roads they all walked.

She adored her special relationships with her grandchildren; Stevie and Jami who inherited many of Carma’s special characteristics.

Carma always wore a beautiful welcoming smile that drew people to her. Once you were lucky enough to be “in” you were blessed with a devoted friend, faithful ally, true blue confidant and at times a mischievous accomplice. Known by many for her mad scrabble skills she was a ruthless adversary.

She was known by many names and answered to them all: Carmalita, Super Mom, Gorgeous Lady, Survivor, Cutie Pie, Sassy Momma…. The list is long

Preceded in death by her mother and father; sisters, Yvonne & Denise and her beloved sons Mark & Clint.

Survived by her devoted daughter; Karla Housel Bates (Gene), son-in-law; Jason Wilcock (Clint), grandchildren Stevie Singleton & Jami Belle Peterson, great-grandchildren; Ganon Singleton, Valentine Singleton, Cormac Hardcastle and Macallan Binggeli, brothers Rodger Gough and Gary Gough and many, many special friends that became family throughout her life.

An extra special Thank You to Mom’s very special “family” at NeuroRestorative Care in Riverton, Utah who lovingly cared for Mom in her final years.

A notice will be made in the future of a celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers she requested a donation made to the AARP Foundation to help struggling seniors or your local food bank. Care entrusted to Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.

Proverbs 31:26 “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.”
