Carma Dawn Crump Jensen
WASHINGTON TERRACE a" Carma Dawn Crump Jensen, 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 surrounded by her family. She had just celebrated her 84th birthday with her family.
Carma was born April 4, 1927 in Bluffdale, Utah, to Burton Eugene "Sandy" Crump and Evelyn Jannie Alford. She was raised in Ogden and attended Ogden High School.
Carma married Heber Chase "Ace" Harmon in 1944. They had one daughter together, Sandra Jean. They were later divorced. In 1947, she married Clark G. Jensen. They had one daughter, Karey Lynn. Clark died on October 2, 1972.
Early on, she worked for Swift & Company. She then worked for Ogden City Courts for over 20 years, retiring in 1992. She made many lifelong friends there.
She will be fondly remembered as our sassy little red head. She was a kick in the butt. We loved that she was irreverent and we loved her sense of humor. She kept us laughing right to the end. Family was everything to her and she was a blessing to her grandchildren. She was independent before it was fashionable and taught her daughters to be independent and confident.
She will be missed by her daughters and their spouses: Sandee (Dan) Egbert, Washington Terrace, UT; Karey (Tom) Perkins, Boulder City, NV; grandchildren: Kristen (Scott) Larsen, Washington Terrace; Jacque (Mike) Price, Roy; Danny Egbert, Washington Terrace; Mitch (Ashlee) Egbert, Riverdale; Cari Ann (Alan) Newby, Layton; Michael (Dawn) Perkins, Las Vegas, NV; and Jennifer Perkins and fiancAC. Connor Casey of Green Valley, NV. She had 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren who loved their granny.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister Barbara Crump Hurt, and brother William Charles Crump.
The family would like to thank Dr. Glen Biddulph, Dr. Gilbert Caillouet, Debbie and Mike from Advocate Hospice, Sandy and Erin from Washington Terrace Health Services, and Peachtree Assisted Living for the excellent care you rendered on her behalf. You were her angels.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., with Dan A. Egbert officiating.
