CARMA PETERSEN NELSON

1935 – 2017

Carma Petersen Nelson passed away on the 29th of November at home.  She was born on August 18, 1935 in Bountiful, Utah to Ralph Petersen and Myrtle Mary Nielsen.  She married Merlin James Nelson on December 28, 1953.

Carma worked for several grocery stores in Bountiful over the years as a checker and then for 3 years at Camper World as the campground manager in Mount Pleasant, Utah.

Carma is survived by her children:  Randy (Colleen) Nelson, Keith (Jorgetta) Nelson, Mary Merlyn Nelson Navajo, and Reid (Sandy Roth) Nelson.  She had 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her sisters: Cora Pack and Devola Larsen; and her brother, Kenneth Petersen.

Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary 727 North 400 East Bountiful, UT. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 6 to 8p.m. at the mortuary and one hour prior to services.
