Carma Buehler Sanders
KAYSVILLE – Carma Buehler Sanders, 93, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 in Kaysville, Utah from causes incident to age.
Carma was born June 15, 1923 in North Logan, Utah to Henry “L” and Mary Ann Buehler. She grew up in Daniels and Malad, Idaho and North Logan, Utah, graduating from South Cache High School in 1941. Carma attended Utah State Agricultural College where she studied secretarial science and home economics. Those secretarial skills served her well over the next few years in the various jobs she held. It was through a co-worker Carma met her future husband, Doan Clarence Sanders, Jr. They were sealed in the Logan Temple August 12, 1948.
Carma had a love of history, travel, an appreciation for music and the arts, and for the beauties of nature. Her talents included cooking, sewing and oil painting. She had a life-long interest in gardening and politics. Her happiest times were those spent with her family. Carma was a patient, kind, and gentle mother. She will be greatly missed.
Carma is survived by four daughters; Karen (Win) Duersch, Tortola, British Virgin Islands; Nancy Sanders, Kaysville; Cynthia (Bentley) Johnson, Kaysville; and Sharlynne (Mark) Campbell, Newark, Delaware; 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law, LuJean Evans, Layton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 3 p.m. at the Kaysville Utah East Stake Center, 201 South 600 East, Kaysville. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Saturday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the church. Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.
