Carmen Archuleta Montoya

Carmen Archuleta Montoya passed away on February 6, 2013. She was born on July 23, 1923, in El Rito, New Mexico. Her family moved to a small town called Montrose in Colorado, where she met her first husband Joe N. Pacheco, with whom she had two daughters. They were later divorced. She married Modesto E. Montoya, with whom she had two sons and they were also later divorced.

She was an excellent cook. She also enjoyed dancing, embroidering, and spending time with her friends. But most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Later in life she raised her granddaughter, Adrianna John. Her dream was to see Adrianna graduate from high school and that dream came to fruition in June 2012.

She worked as a cook at Central Jr. High and Ogden High. She has always had a fun loving attitude and a tireless spirit.

Carmen is survived by her son, Albert T. (Kelly) Montoya, South Weber, UT; daughters, Nancy Wright, Yuba City, CA and Anna M. Guzman, Riverdale, UT; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and sister, Bernie Morales, Montrose, CO.

She was preceded in death by her son, Eddie Lee Montoya; parents, Presiliano and Josefina Archuleta.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 3 p.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
