Carmen Baldwin Sholly passed away peacefully on September 23, 2023, in Ogden, Utah. She was born on June 8, 1923, in Brawder, Kentucky, a daughter of William and Goldie Ashby Baldwin. She was educated in Kentucky and was baptized in the Baptist Church. She moved to Chicago, Illinois where she met and married William P. Sholly. They moved to Ogden, Utah where they raised their family.
Carmen is survived by one son and three daughters, Bill (Cindy) Sholly, Diane Jones, Reta MacDonald, and Linda (Blake) Miner. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 24 great-great-grandchildren, and daughters-in-law, Judie Sholly and Julie Sholly. She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Darryl Sholly and Phillip Sholly; daughter, Sharon Bingham; grandson, Tyler Bingham; parents and siblings; and mother-in-law, Martha Sholly.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
