Carmon "Dutch" Estheimer

Carmon Reynold “Dutch” Estheimer 1930-2013 Carmon Reynold Estheimer was born on March 24, 1930 in Prentice, Wisconsin, to Carl and Grace Estheimer. He learned the value of hard work at an early age, working many different jobs as a youth. He had a talent for boxing and was offered to go professional more than once. He loved his country and served honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He graduated in forestry from the University of Idaho, where he earned his nickname “Dutch”. His career was spent in 30 plus years of government service with the Fish & Game Department and BLM. His proudest accomplishment in his field of work was the wetlands that he preserved and bird refuges he created. He loved nature and his birds. “Dutch” married his sweetheart Beverly on January 10, 1962, in the Salt Lake Temple. Surrounded by loved ones “Dutch” Estheimer left mortality on March 1, 2013 and was welcomed back to Heavenly Father’s presence. There he was met by thousands whom he served on earth through temple work and happily reunited with his mother Grace, father Carl, and brother Clarence and other beloved relatives who preceded him in death. His work of service and love now continues on the other side of the veil. Dutch joined the LDS Church in 1958 and loved the gospel. He showed his love for his Savior by serving and loving his fellow man. He served faithfully, with his beloved companion Beverly, three missions to Zimbabwe, Harare, New Zealand, Wellington and Illinois, Nauvoo Temple. Together they served 13 years as ordinance workers, mostly in the Bountiful, Utah Temple. He willingly served in various stewardships in the Church, but his heart belonged to those he served as a Home Teacher and as a Scout Master. Dutch touched many a young man’s life as he served for over 30 years in the Boy Scouts of America program where he earned the Silver Beaver Award. He had the gift of gab and made friends of all he met. He was an avid walker and loved walking the Lagoon Trail. He is survived by his wife, Beverly, children Carl, John (Kris), Frank, Randy (Trish) and his favorite daughter, Julie Bakker (Albert), 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one great-grandchild on the way He was well beloved and will be missed by all, until we meet again. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the Farmington Old Rock Chapel, 272 North Main Farmington, Utah, where friends may visit family on Tuesday, Mar. 5th from 6-8 pm and Wed. from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services. Interment Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Rd. Salt Lake City. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
