LAYTON - Carol Joanne Baker, 80, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011 at her home.

She was born in Compton, California on December 18, 1930 the daughter of Robert James and Nellie Sawyer Dunn.

Carol married Henry Clayborn Baker on June 30, 1947 in Willowbrook, California. He preceded her in death on June 28, 1992. Also preceding her in death are her oldest son, James Robert Baker on August 17, 2007 and her youngest son, Jack Edward Baker on February 5, 2007.

Surviving are her daughter-in-law (Jim''s wife), Belinda Baker, Jim and Belinda''s children, Samuel (Ana), Brian (Lyndell), Rachel (Rudy) Arias, and Rebecca, Jack''s children, Christine (Ronnie), Sara and Kelly. Also surviving are 16 great-grandchildren and in December she was to become a great-great-grandmother by her great-grandson Nick and his wife Annie Baker.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
