Carol Ann Berrier, 78, passed away at home January 10, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 21, 1938 in Ogden, Utah to Charles Emphriam and Leila Cleon Graham Smith. Carol attended Ogden High School.

She met the love of her life, Barney Frank Berrier at Ogden’s Historic Berthana Dance Hall. They married July 5, 1959 in Elko, Nevada. As a result of their happy union they had what they considered to be their miracle baby, an answer to their prayers, Linda.

Carol waitressed at WT Grant’s and Keeley’s. During the Vietnam War she worked in logistics at Defense Depot Ogden. In her later years Carol worked for Sears where she made some very dear friends.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Linda Lee Berrier Pilarczyk, son-in-law Joe Pilarczyk; two grandchildren, Michael Joseph (Kim Stayner, Taizley, and Sawyer) Pilarczyk and Kimberlee Ann Pilarczyk (Michael) Palmer; and one great-granddaughter, the ‘sunshine of her life,’ Brynlee Ann Pilarczyk.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Barney in the Spring of 1986; also her parents and all her siblings, William Smith, Wayne Smith, Jean Streight, Betty Starley, and Sheryl Carr.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Mountain View Cemetery, 5555 E 2700 N, Eden.
