LAYTON a€" Carol H. Black beautiful wife, wonderful mom, sister, grandma and aunt was reunited with her soul mate, Tuesday, October 28, 2008. She was born October 1, 1940, in Greensburg, PA, daughter of Joseph and Garnet Wood Hartman. She married Vincent Black on September 13, 1958 in Jeanette, PA.

Carol graduated from Jeanette High School in 1958. Carol retired from Layton Visual Center.

Surviving children Vikki (Mike) Zimmer of Cincinnati, Ohio; Bruce (Pam) Black of Syracuse; grandchildren, Adam Zimmer, New Orleans, LA; Markie and Corri Zimmer, both of Austin, TX; Faith, Sarah and Cassie Black all of Syracuse. Also surviving are her brothers, Dennis Hartman, Robert (Belinda) Hartman, Bill Hartman, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Monday, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 North Fairfield Road.
