Carol Ann Caldwell

Carol Ann Caldwell, nee Salter, died July 6, 2010 after a short battle with cancer. She was born June 2, 1942 in Vernon, B.C. Canada to parents Fred and Rita Salter. Carol graduated from Little Flower Academy in Vancouver, B.C. and moved to California where she met and married the love of her life, Paul, in 1966.

Carol was an accomplished crafter and artist whose items are treasured by family and friends. She doted on her grandchildren and loved spending time with them in her swimming pool. Carol was a loving and giving person who routinely made blankets and scarves for homeless people.

With a fabulous sense of humor and a personality larger than life, Carol loved helping her husband organize an annual EOD reunion held in Third Creek, Idaho. She was often seen cooking, cleaning, decorating or whatever was needed all the while cracking jokes and visiting with everyone.

She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Preceded in death by her parents, Carol is survived by her husband Paul, son William (Bill), daughter Kelley, son-in-law Jason, and grandchildren Emily, Jade and Larkin.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 5 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Saturday from 4 to 5 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, July 24, 2010 in South Roxana, Illinois.
